Summit Lake

Summit Lake, Evergreen, Colorado⁠ ⁠ Located at an elevation of 12,800 feet (3900 m), Summit Lake is reachable by a short hike from the Mt. Evans Byway, the highest paved road in North America. The surrounding terrain contains arctic vegetation that is found only at this location in Colorado.⁠ ⁠ I used a Singh-Ray 2-stop soft graduated filter to balance the sky highlights with the darker foreground, and a color combo polarizer to reduce glare on the lake's surface and to add a bit of richness to the colors.⁠
